Yes! Deskless is a native app that works entirely offline for editing. You can read, edit, and commit without an internet connection. Git push/pull and AI features require internet, but everything else works locally.

Absolutely. Deskless is optimized for both iPhone and iPad with adaptive layouts. The interface automatically adjusts between NavigationStack on iPhone and NavigationSplitView on iPad.

Tap 'Clone from GitHub' in the File Browser, enter the repository URL (HTTPS or SSH), select your authentication method, choose a destination folder, and tap Clone. Progress is shown during download.

Check your credentials in Settings → Git. Ensure your Personal Access Token has 'repo' scope or your SSH key is added to your Git provider. For GitHub, create a PAT at github.com/settings/tokens.

Go to Settings → Git → SSH Key Generator. Choose key size (2048 or 4096 bits), optionally add a passphrase, tap Generate Keys, then copy the public key and add it to GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.

Open Settings → AI and enter your API key for your preferred provider (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or xAI Grok). Keys are stored securely in iOS Keychain and never sent to our servers.

OpenAI GPT-4o offers the best overall performance. Claude 3.5 Sonnet excels at explanations and documentation. Gemini 2.5 Flash is fast and cost-effective. Each provider has different strengths.

Deskless uses file extensions to detect the language via Tree-sitter parsing. Make sure your file has the correct extension (.swift, .py, .js, etc.). Unknown extensions default to plain text.

No. Your code stays on your device. Deskless never sees your code or API keys. AI requests go directly to your chosen provider using your API keys. We don't collect any analytics on your code.

Go to iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Deskless → Cancel Subscription. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

If you don't subscribe, you'll be downgraded to the Free tier. Your files remain accessible, but Pro features (Git, AI, themes, auto-save) are locked until you subscribe.

Yes, with full keyboard shortcut support including ⌘, ⌥, and ⇧ modifiers. Standard shortcuts like ⌘+S (save) and ⌘+Z (undo) work in Free. Find (⌘+F) and multi-tab shortcuts require Pro.
